  • Matt Virnau, a Texas A&M graduate and former rugby player, launched his career in the corporate sector before answering a higher call to service. Joining the Air Force in 2012, Matt excelled as a Special Operations Combat Controller, becoming the Honor Graduate of his class and later deploying to Afghanistan with the 22nd Special Tactics Squadron. His dedication to mentorship was evident during his tenure as an instructor at the Special Tactics Training Squadron, where he taught vital combat skills.

    After his military service, Matt continued to guide future operators as a coach and mentor at the Special Warfare Schoolhouse. He has now completed his M.S. in Performance Psychology and currently enhances the capabilities of USAF Special Warfare Candidates while also coaching at MURFIT in Boerne, TX. Matt is a certified NRA Shooting Instructor, American Red Cross Instructor, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and is a Mental Performance Specialist. His multifaceted expertise makes him a pivotal figure in the development of both mental and physical fortitude among elite performers.

  • Sean, a graduate of West Point, played lacrosse for Army while earning a Bachelor’s in kinesiology. After graduating, he spent six years as an Army infantry officer completing various leadership courses including Ranger School. During that time, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of the war on terror. After the Army, he began his coaching career by earning a Master’s in exercise science from Liberty University. He has coached at Texas State University, Fort Bliss, TX, and currently coaches for Air Force special operations. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

  • Cody has been coaching in the field of strength and conditioning for the last eight and a half years. Seven of those years in the collegiate athletics space and the last year and a half in the tactical realm.

    Currently he is a strength and conditioning specialist for the Special Warfare Human Performance Squadron in the United States Air Force.

    Cody is certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, as a Performance Level 1 Coach through USA Weightlifting.

    He has competed in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting and regularly spends time outdoors hiking and mountain biking. Cody currently resides in San Antonio, Texas with his awesome wife Shelby and two dogs, Finley and Oliver.

  • Ben is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and strength sport enthusiast with over 9 years of experience rehabilitating acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries as well as experience taking part in competitive strongman training and coaching.

    In 2014, he enlisted in the Active Duty Air Force as a Physical Therapy Assistant working with both active duty personnel, and veterans. Throughout this time, he gained experience working with post-operative patients as well a range of acute and chronic issues amongst varying demographics. Ben is still serving on active duty and currently working with a multidisciplinary human performance team that supports the Air Force Special Warfare training pipeline. In this capacity Ben has the opportunity to work with highly motivated and highly trained personnel devoted to the sole mission of improving human performance amongst our nation's future operators.

  • Tina was a dual athlete at Modesto Junior College in CA, competing in water polo and various swim events. She has 20 years experience as a swim coach and 9 years experience coaching volleyball. Additionally, Tina is an American Red Cross Instructor and currently heads Forged HP’s CPR/First Aid Training curriculum. Tina loves the outdoors, anything in the water, flying with her husband, and spending time with her kids!

  • Ryan is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and holds his Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator, NASM CPT, and NASM Nutrition Coach certifications. He has been working in the field of musculoskeletal rehabilitation and strength and conditioning for over 10 years.

    Ryan enlisted into the Air Force in 2012 and has been working as a PTA across multiple clinical settings to include outpatient and inpatient musculoskeletal care, and sports performance. Before his acceptance into the Army Baylor Doctorate in Physical Therapy program, Ryan spent 5 years with a multidisciplinary team responsible for training Air Force Special Warfare candidates.
